Sound installation
2007
In an almost completely bare room, a sound track can be heard. It is composed of a multitude of sound sources and textual elements that form a floating atmosphere and vaguely describe the space we are experiencing. However, the sentences are ambiguous and let us doubt and even wait for something else to happen. This sound piece is played through a false sound mechanism; the sound comes from the ceiling and not from the speakers placed on the floor. Through this simple set up, I attempt to play with a ghostly effect by exploiting the idea of void and of the defused device.
